How to vote

Election day is Monday, October 26, 2026, with advance voting taking place on October 16 and 17 from 10AM-6PM, and online voting is available from October 14-26. 

Advance voting on October 16-17 is at three locations in our ward:

Glenburnie Fire Hall
Rideau Heights Community Centre
Calvin Park Public Library

Voters will elect a mayor, city councillors, and school board trustees on the same day.

You can vote if you are:

• A Canadian citizen and

• At least 18 years old and

• Live in Kingston, or you (or your spouse) own or rent property here and

• Not prevented from voting by any law

Have you registered to vote?

Don't worry, you can still vote. Bring ID showing your name and current address.

Photo ID is not required.
